I’ve ordered from ThriftBooks a few times now, the delivery has been really reliable every time. The tracking works just fine, and my books have shown up when they said they would. One package even got here a day early, which was great. No big complaints at all, just a nice, easy, on-time experience.

It actually arrived quick, which was a nice surprise. I’m glad the delivery part went smoothly, but I’m still expecting some follow-up or compensation for the inconvenience I had before it got here.

"I was happy to find a title…"
I was happy to find a title here that I couldn’t seem to get anywhere else, so that part was definitely nice. Shipping took a little longer than I expected, and the copy showed up more worn than I thought it would be. It’s still usable, but it did make me question the quality a bit.

I was able to find the books I needed without much trouble, so that part was fine. The app does freeze here and there though, and checkout felt a little awkward to get through. It’s usable, but you kind of have to be patient with it

I wasn’t expecting much at first, but then I started looking around and got kind of thrilled by how many books they had. One minute I was just casually browsing, and the next I was trying to narrow down a stack because I kept finding stuff I actually wanted. Great selection, and it’s always a little too easy for me to leave with more than I planned.

"Return Was More Annoying Than It Needed to Be"
I tried returning a book and the whole thing just took way longer than I expected. The instructions weren’t super clear, so I kept second-guessing whether I was doing it right. Maybe I’m just used to returns being easier now, like with half the random stuff I order at midnight and regret later, but still. Support did eventually get back to me, but it was late by then. Not the worst experience ever, but definitely kind of annoying.

I’ve ordered from thriftbooks a few times now and the site is easy to get around. Searching by title or author works well, and the filters actually help instead of making things more confusing lol. I also like that they show the book condition clearly before you buy, so you kinda know what you’re getting. Cart and checkout were simple too, no weird steps or anything. Overall it loads fine, it’s quick, and I can usually find what I want without wasting a bunch of time. Good experience for me.

I’ve ordered from thriftbooks a few times and it’s usually been fine, but this one was kind of frustrating. The book showed up in decent condition and shipping was normal, so no issues there. The problem was that it wasn’t the exact edition shown in the listing. I needed that specific version for the page numbers, so it ended up being more of a hassle than I expected. The price was cheap, which I appreciate, but I really wish the edition details were more accurate.

My order showed up on time, and most of the books were exactly the ones I picked, so that part was good. One paperback came with a different cover than what was shown, which was kind of annoying. It wasn’t a huge deal, but I did feel a little trapped with it since I’d already waited for the order and didn’t really want to deal with returning or exchanging one book. The condition was pretty much what I expected. I’d maybe order again, but I really wish the listings matched the actual book more closely...

I got my books sooner than I was expecting, so that was a nice surprise. One of the packages showed up a day after the other, but it wasn’t a big deal. The tracking was easy to follow, and everything arrived in good condition. Overall, it went better than I expected and I’d definitely order again.

"Good deals if you don’t mind waiting a bit"
I’ve ordered from thriftbooks a few times now, and the promos are what keep pulling me back. The free book points and discount codes really do help, especially when I’m grabbing a stack of used books and trying not to spend too much. Every once in a while a coupon doesn’t apply the way I thought it would, which is... a little frustrating. But the prices are usually still solid. Shipping isn’t always the fastest, so if you need something right away, maybe not the best, but for the savings, I’m usually fine with waiting.

"Login works, but the updates feel clunky"
I can log in fine, so that part works, but the recent changes feel clunky to use. I also kind of get the feeling nobody really read the feedback or message before making the changes, because it doesn’t feel like the actual user experience was considered.

"My Order Took Me on a Tiny Emotional Journey"
ThriftBooks was alright overall, but wow, the emails and updates had me feeling like I was trying to solve a mystery. One minute I thought my order had shipped, the next I wasn’t totally sure if it was still sitting somewhere in limbo. The books did show up fine in the end, thankfully, so it wasn’t a disaster. I just wish the communication had been clearer and a little faster, because the suspense was a bit much for a simple book order.
